Our Aurora collection was initially created for the exhibition at Iconoclastes gallery in Paris located near Place Vendôme, aa location long acclaimed for it’s contribution to the art of jewellery-making. Our fist design in this collection was the Aurora Screen and the latest is this side table, a coloured resin oval set into a solid brass frame inspired by the art of gem-setting.

Lens Table Clear Violetta Ø 45 x 47 cm Limited Edition)
By exploiting the intrinsic characteristics of the materials we work with we aim to intrigue the viewer. Our results set us on a path to produce our first prototype of a Lens Table in 2005.
Every Lens coffee table is a functional item of furniture infused with the poetic nature of light and reflections.
This version comes with highly polished resin top in Clear, backed with a tinted mirror on five
powder-coated black bronze legs.

Lunar Table
McCollin Bryan mix strong forms and traditional techniques with new combinations of materials. Blurring the lines between furniture & sculpture, the pieces play with contrasts & opposites: heavy but floating; organic surfaces with geometric forms; negative & positive spaces. Using transparent resins and plasters, the work continues to exploit the inherent qualities of materials, creating pieces that have purity and beauty.
The multi-tonal effects created by the rich hues in the Lunar table top suggest it is lit from within. The depth of colour gives the impression of looking upon something precious and otherworldly.
The Lunar table is hand cast in our London studio. The colour and reflective qualities are intensified by the gilded internal dome. The legs can be ordered in black or patinated bronze.

Cube Coffee Table Dusty Pink
Pondering how to recycle industrial waste, you hardly think of dust. We do. When we polish our Lens tables to glass quality we are worried by noticeable amounts of dust. Each table’s top is made of resin and goes through a laborious sanding and polishing process until it twinkles. So, to be more circular in our practice, we’ve spent time working out how to incorporate all the dust back into our production.
Meet our new reconstituted material with its craggy surface in this Cube Coffee Table in dusty pink. We have combined our dust with an ecoresin which has a completely transparent and traceable production journey.

Minty Table
McCollin Bryan’s Minty Table is now made using bio-based resin formulated with renewable raw materials, incorporated with a resin by-product from their Lens tables to be mindful of the circular economy. It carries the same design impact as its predecessor in Scagliola plaster but is suitable for outdoor use due to the naturally hard-wearing properties of the materials.
The bio-based resin used in this piece is certified by the USDA BioPreferred Programme for reducing the environmental impact caused by petroleum-based resins, and the manufacturers are committed to participating in the “1% for the Planet” initiative, donating 1% of gross sales to environmental causes.

Lens Table Clear Violetta 35 x 39
The materials we work with are critical to our ideas, exploiting the intrinsic material characteristics to intrigue the viewer. Cube Coffee Table Tan Terrain
Scagliola (pronounced “scal-y-oh-lah”) is a centuries-old technique for creating surfaces that mimic fine marble and other noble materials. This decorative man-made plaster has been used since the Roman era and enjoyed a revival in the 18th century. Scagliola may be visually mistaken for stone, but is warmer to the touch. First attracted to it due to its rarity in contemporary design, McCollin Bryan have worked for many years to produce modern colours and forms in their contemporary version of the process. The rich and earthy colours of the scagliola are achieved using pigments mixed to a highly specific ‘recipe’ that is the result of research and experimentation.
The Cube coffee table is made in special multicoloured ‘Terrain’ scagliola, named as a nod to the extraordinary in-orbit photos photos of some of Earth’s surfaces.
Limited edition of 20.

McCollin Bryan’s preoccupation with the artistic properties of their materials includes a careful consideration of the environmental footprint, and a dedication to eliminating waste.
The Double Mint is made using bio-based resin formulated with renewable raw materials, incorporated with a resin by-product from their Lens tables to be mindful of the circular economy. It carries the same design impact as the original in Scagliola plaster but is suitable for outdoor use due to the naturally hard-wearing properties of the materials.
The bio-based resin used in this piece is certified by the USDA BioPreferred Programme for reducing the environmental impact caused by petroleum-based resins, and the manufacturers are committed to participating in the “1% for the Planet” initiative, donating 1% of gross sales to environmental causes.

Aurora Screen
Our folding Aurora screen was initially developed for the exhibition at Iconoclastes gallery in Paris located near Place Vendôme, the epicentre of high-end jewellery. Embracing the location, the designers aimed to get the feeling of a giant piece of jewelry, showing off its best-polished gems.
Aurora screen works with subtle fluidity of colours that refract and change tones as the viewer walks around the piece. The hinging allows it to form different shapes, extending to 1.5 metres long or wrapping into a square sculptural column.
This piece is a semi-permanent structure and requires a flat floor.
